Craig Petre

Craig Petre, 69, of Mukilteo (formerly of Bellevue) passed away unexpectedly on February 11, 2016 in Naples, FL. He was born in Des Moines, IA on January 7, 1947.

He graduated from Carlisle High School in Carlisle, IA and went on to earn a BS with Honors in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University. After college he worked at Proctor & Gamble in Cincinnati and also attended the Salmon P. Chase School of Law. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1977. He relocated with his family to Bellevue when he took a position with The Boeing Company. He retired from there in 2002.

Craig is survived by his wife Betsy, daughters Ann Moloney, Alisa Meyer, stepdaughters Clarissa Zulick, Holly Niemeyer; grandchildren Julia and Heath Meyer, William and Eliza Moloney, Noah, Haaken and Giselle Zulick; and by his brother Alan Petre of Ames, IA.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 14230 SE Newport Way, Bellevue, WA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that Memorials be made to The Carlisle School Foundation, Carlisle Alumni Assoc, PO Box 3, Carlisle, IA 50047 or to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
