James W. “Rusty” Gates

Born September 9, 1922 in Marionville, MO. Son of Walter H. Gates and Mary Pearl Jones. Died March 30, 2011 in Bellevue, WA. He was 88. Rusty is survived by his wife, Penny M. Gates; sons, Richard James and Stanley Floyd Gates; three grandchildren, Ardis L. Wiehl, Casey J. and Bill G. Gates; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He served in WWII as an air traffic controller in the Pacific theatre. He worked for the F.A.A. as a controller in F.S.S. He will be deeply missed as he was deeply loved.
