Letha Arlene Pratt
Letha was born on September 11, 1928 in Holyoke, Colorado, the daughter of Elof and Rena Larson. She died peacefully in her sleep at home on January 27, 2016. As a child, she attended a one-room schoolhouse from grades 1-8. Later, the family relocated to Mount Vernon, Washington where Letha spent her high school years. After graduating high school she moved to Seattle and pursued her interest at Beauty School and later on attended Seattle University. Shortly after college she started her career at Boeing working as a secretary in the treasury department.
Letha met her husband Sandy on a blind date at a sailing regatta in Vancouver BC. In the early days of their life together they enjoyed dates on Sandy’s sailboat. He would pick her up on the dock of the house on Lake Washington where she lived with six of her girlfriends.
Letha and Sandy were married January 14, 1956, soon after they moved to Bellevue where they raised their two children. They took many family vacations together on their sailboat to the San Juan and Gulf Islands. Together they participated in many family events with their children and grandchildren and were blessed with 60 happy years of marriage. Letha enjoyed travelling, her garden and her pets.
She is survived by her husband Sanders (Sandy) Pratt, children Barbara Kobets, Bradley Pratt (Gail) and grandchildren Riley, Kyle and Daniel Pratt and Zoya Kobets. She is also survived by her siblings; Herman Larson (Wilma), Eric Larson (Donna,) Karen Walker and Lance Larson (Tina). Brothers Nils Larson and Lyle Lee Larson predeceased Letha.
Memorial Service will be at the Saint Andrews Lutheran Church 2650 148th Ave SE Bellevue, WA 98007 February 12, 2016 at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Andrews Church for a Memorial Fund in Letha’s name.
