Major Earl H. Falk, USMC (Retired)
Earl Halvar Falk, 87 passed away March 21, 2011. He was born in New York City to Claude & Svea who had recently emigrated from Sweden. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Tacoma, WA where Earl was raised along with his younger siblings Arnold, Claude and Eleanor. Major Falk served his country in two wars (WWII and the Korean War). After his 24-year career as a fighter pilot, he joined Aetna Insurance for another 20 years and went on to found his own investigation firm. Earl was an eternal optimist who turned strangers into friends within minutes and enjoyed traveling, golfing, skiing, handball, and a good book. He served his community as a member of the Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club and a frequent volunteer at Northwest Harvest. Earl is survived by Florine Griff Falk, his loving wife of 18 years and his many children, grandchildren and great grandchilden. No memorial service is planned at this time, but there is a longer obituary posted at Cascade Memorial and the family hopes friends and relatives will light a candle and post anecdotes about Earl and messages about their experiences with him.
