Retail robbery: A woman was shopping in the 600 block of 120th Ave NE and left her purse unattended in the shopping cart. The suspect stole the purse, and when confronted by the victim, said “Give me your wallet or I’ll shoot.” No gun was seen. The investigation is ongoing.
Dec. 20
Chimney Condos thieves caught: A 911 caller reported a male dressed to camoflague walking toward the Chimney Condominiums on 100th Ave. NE around 5:30 a.m. Officers arrived and arrested three suspects. Burglary and trespass charges are being filed.
Ruffled feathers: A man was running around the Chick-fil-A parking lot, banging on car windows and screaming at the people inside of the cars. The restuarant went into full lockdown. After a brief struggle, officers arrested him for criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct. Officers working earlier in the day had issued a written noticed of trespass from the same restaurant.
Dec. 22
Mall madness: A suspect caused a disturbance at Bellevue Square, shouting profanities and flipping off other patrons. He had just been trespassed from the property leading up to this incident. He was arrested after a brief physical struggle and booked into jail.
Dec. 23
Caught red-handed: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of 156th Ave. SE. One of the digits on the license plate had been altered. A backpack and flashlights were found inside, as well as stolen mail and some heroin. The suspect was booked into jail.
Hate speech: An unknown person wrote “KKK” on the passenger side of the victim’s car. The victim lives in Seattle and works in Bellevue, and believed the crime happened in Bellevue. She believes she was targeted due to her race.
Dec. 24
Fiesty fire: A man’s car caught on fire in a parking lot in the 10600 block of NE 9th Pl. The fire quickly spread to an adjacent car, and the man was unable to extinguish it. The fire department responded and put out the flames.
