Car prowls: Approximately six cars parking in a parking lot in the 15000 block of Main St. had their windows smashed and items taken between 7:30 and 8:45 p.m.
Careless criminal: A suspect tried cashing a stolen and forged check at a bank in the 800 block of 108th Ave. NE. He became very nervous and left the scene, leaving behind his actual ID card. There are numerous warrants out for his arrest, but police were unable to locate him at press time.

Molestation allegation: Two juvenile males aged 10 and 12 years old reported that a suspect had touched them inappropriately in the locker room of a building in the 14200 block of Bel-Red Road. The case has been forwarded to detectives.

The fast and the furious police: Approximately 75-100 cars were racing around the Eastgate Park and Ride and were being watched by several hundred people around 7:30 p.m. King County Metro requested that everyone leave the premises, and police officers closed the park and ride entrances so that more people couldn’t join the crowd. About half of the people/vehicles promptly left, while officers had to force the removal of the other half.

Unattended tykes: A caller reported seeing two small children playing inside a building in the 15600 block of NE 8th St. without adult supervision. Officers determined that the mother was homeless and could not properly care for her children. Child Protective Services took custody of the children.
Shooting assistance: Bellevue officers assisted the Redmond Police Department with a firearm homicide at a large party off of Bel-Red Road. A man in his 20s was shot at a party with about 100 attendees in the 16800 block of NE 39th Court. Bellevue officers assisted with setting a perimeter for a K-9 track and backing an officer who had stopped a potential suspect.
