Lovers discuss future together on Valentine’s Day, despite no-contact order | Bellevue Police Blotter Feb. 13-19

Feb. 13

OFF LIKE A SHOT: The victim called 911 stating that the driver of a silver convertible shot what she thought was a BB gun at her truck. An officer located a stolen vehicle matching the description at the intersection of Northeast 8th Street and 148th Avenue Northeast, but the driver took off and the officer did not chase him, per department rules.

POOR PLANNING: The suspect approached officers in the lobby of City Hall, stating that he was there to file a report. The officers took him into custody after finding warrants out for his arrest for kidnapping, robbery and assault.

Feb. 14

NO CONTACT MEANS NO: Officers contacted two individuals in a car at Enatai Beach Park. One of the individuals had a no-contact order against the other. The petitioner for the order had picked the other subject up and driven him to park so they could “talk about their future together.” The respondent was arrested and booked into jail.

Feb. 15

QUICK DRAW: The suspect got into a verbal disturbance with Overlake Hospital staff, during which he reached toward his hip as if to draw a weapon. The victim heard a click and believed the suspect was, in fact, drawing a firearm. The suspect left in the direction of the parking garage, where an officer found him. He was taken into protective custody after making suicidal statements.

Feb. 16

NAP TIME: A man was arrested for sleeping in a restaurant in the 13800 block of 140th Ave. NE and refusing to leave when asked.

Feb. 18

CHECKED OUT: Officers responded to a situation at the Downtown Library where the subject was refusing to leave due to his drug use. He was arrested and booked into jail for an outstanding theft warrant in his name.

GONE IN SMOKE: Witnesses reported seeing three subjects smoking drugs using tin foil in a vehicle in the 3000 block of 118th Ave. SE. An officer arrived at the scene as the suspect vehicle was leaving the complex, and was unable to stop the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.

Feb. 19

PUBLIC DISTURBANCE: A subject was trespassed for causing a disturbance at the men’s shelter in the 500 block of 116th Ave. NE.
