Several classes over the 48th Legislative District look to highlight election season.

Rookie Democratic legislator Vandana Slatter looks to defend her spot in the 48th’s Position 1 against challenger from the Libertarian party Ciaran Dougherty.

Three candidates have filed for the 48th Legislative District’s State Senator position, including incumbent Patty Kuderer, who prefers the Democratic party. Libertarian Michelle Darnell and Independent Democrat Richard Knierim have filed to challenge for the seat.

The 48th Legislative District covers Medina, Clyde Hill, the northeast half of Bellevue, the south half of Kirkland and most of Redmond.
