Fight: Two homeless men were involved in some kind of altercation on Northeast 8th Street. One was arrested and the other taken to the hospital for an injury to his hand.
Theft: A construction worker reported his vehicle missing from Bellevue Way Northeast. He has a handgun in the vehicle. Both were reported stolen.
May 23
Speak up: A business owner witnessed a man stealing a speaker from his business on Factoria Boulevard. He was able to wrestle the item away from the thief, but not without hurting his elbow and back.
Florida Man strikes again: Several witnesses called 911 to report a man in a silver vehicle with Florida plates waving his gun around and yelling. Officers responded and arrested the man for a weapons violation.
May 24
Dirty crash: At the intersection of Coal Creek Parkway Southeast and Forest Avenue Southeast, a dump truck loaded with dirt was not able to stop and t-boned a much smaller vehicle before heading about 50 feet off the road and into a ravine.

Glassy look:A motorcycle officer was writing a ticket on Coal Creek Parkway Southeast when he saw a suspicious vehicle leave a nearby parking lot. Officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle and noticed glass on his sweatshirt. He was arrested for prowling vehicles.
May 26
PTSD?: Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Southeast 14th Street to find a man with an empty gun holster on his waistband. He yelled at the officers that he was “taking incoming” and that he “had just gotten out of the bunkers.” A female at the residence said the two had been arguing over a “failed weapons check,” but neither party would elaborate on what that meant.
Fully loaded: A man was contacted by bike officers who discovered he had a felony warrant out for his arrest. He took off with the officers in pursuit. They caught the man, arrested him and found heroin, meth and packaging materials in his possession.
