FLIGHT ATTEMPT THWARTED: At 1 p.m. in the 14500 block of NE 29th St., a police officer saw a known wanted suspect run from an apartment to an awaiting SUV in the parking lot. When the officer got closer, the vehicle sped off leaving the suspect in the parking lot. The officer arrested the suspect and transported him to jail on two felony warrants.

July 11

EAT YOUR DINNER: At 11 p.m. in the 2900 block of 142nd Place SE, a wife got mad at her husband because she made dinner that he didn’t eat. The wife assaulted her husband. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail.

July 12

NO SHERLOCK HOLMES: At 8:17 a.m. in the 1500 block of 140th Ave. NE, a suspect entered a doctor’s business office to access the medical files of his children without permission. An officer investigated the case and forwarded charges to the prosecutor.

NAILS ON THE ROADWAY, AGAIN: At 10:27 a.m. in the 16800 block of SE 60th St., some time on the evening of July 10 between 8-11:45 p.m., a large amount of nails were thrown over the roadway. This is an infrequent but recurring problem in this neighborhood, according to Bellevue police. A police officer conducted an investigation.

ASSAULT: At 2 p.m. in the 13800 block of NE 8th St., a suspect assaulted his girlfriend, causing injuries. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail on second-degree assault and domestic violence charges.

UP IN SMOKE: At 7:49 p.m. in the 15000 block of Main St., an officer saw a suspect getting his bong ready to smoke while sitting in the parking lot. The suspect was contacted and determined to be 19. Marijuana was recovered and the suspect was released at the scene, pending charges.

STRUGGLE WITH A TRESPASSER: At 8:27 p.m. at Bellevue College, school security observed a previously trespassed subject on the property. The officer contacted Bellevue police and requested they contact and arrest the suspect for trespassing. Officers responded and arrested the suspect after a brief struggle. He was booked into jail for first-degree trespass and resisting arrest.

July 13

CYBER STALKER: At 12:13 p.m. in the 300 block of 114th Ave. NE, police stopped a suspect for a traffic violation. He had a warrant out of the Seattle Police Department for cyber stalking and harassment. He was arrested and booked into jail.

July 14

FATHER OF THE YEAR: At 9:30 a.m. in the 4400 block of Lake Washington Blvd. SE. Officers responded to Newcastle Beach Park for a report of a found child. The 3 year old had been playing with another group of kids for over an hour, however, no one knew where his parent was. Eventually the father appeared and told officers he had been watching the child the entire time from his vehicle. The father had a warrant and was arrested. Police contacted Child Protective Services and the child was turned over to the agency.

METH AND HEROIN: At 12:24 a.m. in the 1500 block of 140th Ave. NE, a bike officer made a traffic stop and found out the man had a suspended license. During a search, the officer found suspected meth and heroin. The suspect was arrested.

July 15

PRISON BREAK: At 2:15 a.m. in the 2100 block of Bellevue Way NE, a subject was observed hitchhiking on Bellevue Way Southeast and was stopped. The subject had a felony warrant issued for her arrest for a Department of Corrections escape. She was booked into jail.

HIT-AND-RUN: At 1:06 p.m. at Coal Creek Parkway Southeast and Factoria Boulevard Southeast, police officers were dispatched to a hit-and-run collision involving a police pursuit. A Washington State Patrol trooper had attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on southbound Interstate 405. The suspect vehicle exited the freeway and recklessly made a left turn from the right turn only lane. The suspect drove into oncoming traffic as the car traveled eastbound on Coal Creek Parkway Southeast. The vehicle became trapped in the left turn only lanes, and rammed itself between the two victim vehicles. The incident caused damages, but no injury. The suspect vehicle continued on Coal Creek Parkway with Washington State Patrol still in pursuit. Ultimately, WSP captured the suspect at his home and arrested him for eluding.

July 16

RECKLESS DRIVER: At 2:31 a.m. at the Northeast 4th Street and Interstate 405 overpass, a suspect ran a red light at the off-ramp from southbound I-405 and turned left onto eastbound Northeast 4th Street. A taxi had the green light, was coming westbound and T-boned the suspect vehicle. The suspect and his passenger were injured.
