Due to Sens. Patty Murry and Maria Cantwell’s undying support for Obamacare, our health insurance choices have dwindled, the level of coverage available has evaporated and our premiums have skyrocketed.

Sens. Murray and Cantwell, as well as the Democratic Party, have created the perfect storm trifecta. From my first full post retirement year in 2016 to the expected 2018 premiums, my wife’s and my health premiums have gone up 87 percent while we have been required to raise our deductibles.

In addition, we are only able to secure HMO coverage. I would bet if our U.S. senators and representatives had to secure insurance through the exchange, Obamacare would have already been repealed and a free market system would be available. I would write my two illustrious senators, but I would only receive lip service and self-promotion without action based upon past results. What a sad state for the great state of Washington when these two are the best we can do for U.S. senators.
