The following is a sample from the Bellevue Police Department’s Bellevue Beat Blog:
Nov. 27
Bomb threat: At 11:16 a.m. in the 1500 block of 114th Ave. NE, a business received a bomb threat on its sales department voicemail. The business did not believe the threat was credible.
Rocks thrown at security: At 11 p.m. in the 600 block of 116th Ave. NE, security confronted a suspect for yelling at business patrons. The suspect had previously been trespassed and became hostile, throwing two large rocks at security. The suspect missed the first time, walked away from security and tried again. The suspected was later detained and arrested.
Nov. 29
Stolen vehicle: At 1:27 a.m. in the 100 block of 165th Ave. SE, police observed multiple people in a stolen silver 2007 Ford Edge. The officer tried to stop the vehicle but the driver fled. Several patrol units checked the surrounding neighborhood and found the vehicle with three occupants parked in front of a residence. All were detained and the driver was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. The passenger was arrested for a theft warrant.
Exposing/stolen vehicle: At 10:34 a.m. in the 4000 block of Factoria Blvd. SE, a witness reported someone was exposing themself at Forest Drive and Coal Creek Parkway. The license plate of the suspect’s vehicle indicated the vehicle was stolen out of Everett. Police found the vehicle in the parking lot of Marketplace at Factoria near Old Navy. But before officers could contact the driver, they drove away and officers did not engage in a chase.
Weapons, drugs, theft: At 7:03 p.m. in the 400 block of Bellevue Way NE, security reported a man was carrying a machete and making threats. Numerous officers arrived and found the man, who was detained with the machete found in his backpack, and determined he was in possession of stolen goods. Officers also found suspected methamphetamine on him as well as drug paraphernalia and he was booked into jail.
Rocks thrown at shoppers: At 8:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of 140th Ave. NE, a caller reported a person outside of a grocery store throwing rocks at other people. When officers arrived, the suspect was sitting on the ground in the parking lot, and they were arrested.
Dec. 1
More rocks thrown: At 10:15 a.m. in the intersection of 116th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 20th Street, a witness reported a female throwing rocks at passing cars. An officer contacted the woman and determined she had mental health issues and offered her services.
Road rage turned DUI: At 8:08 p.m. in the 450 block of 110th Ave. NE, a subject was involved in a road rage incident. The victim called 911 and drove to City Hall. The individual followed the victim and was found by an officer. When the officer spoke to the suspect, he attempted to place a candy cane in his mouth to mask the smell of alcohol. Police arrested him for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Dec. 2
Weapons warrant: At 12:47 a.m. in the 2000 block of 148th Ave. NE, an officer contacted a male sleeping in his vehicle. The man had a felony assault with a deadly weapon warrant. The officer booked the suspect into jail.
Domestic violence: At 4:28 a.m. in the 1200 block of 162nd Lane NE, a woman called 911 with sounds of disturbance in the background, but then the line discontinued. Police arrived and learned the woman had been sleeping on the couch when a male suspect assaulted her. The suspect left before police arrived.
Thrown keys: At 7:50 a.m. in the 300 block of Bellevue Way, a man called police to report he and his wife were in an argument and she threw her keys at him and struck him in the head. The suspect, his wife, was arrested for domestic violence assault and booked into jail.
Dec. 3
Weapons violation: At 11:22 p.m. in the 500 block of Bellevue Way NE, an intoxicated man sitting in a bar grabbed a waitress, lifted his shirt and asked if she wanted to see his handgun in the small of his back. The suspect was arrested for a weapons violation and brandishing a weapon. The firearm was confiscated and booked into evidence.
Dog bites burglar with weapon: At 7:58 a.m. in the 2500 block of 171st Ave. SE, two suspects rang the doorbell of a residence. When the victim answered the door, the suspects asked to speak with a resident, but the victim shut the door and locked it. The suspects broke through the door, displayed a firearm and entered the house. The suspects got to the hallway before one of them was bitten by a dog in the home, causing them to flee. Detectives are investigating.
Car slimed: At 2:30 p.m. in the 10000 block of SE Sixth St., a victim’s car was sprayed with green slime and a pamphlet with “vulgar and racist comments” was left on the windshield. The victim rinsed off the slime before police arrived and the car didn’t sustain damage. Police noted the victim was Caucasian.
