Dec. 11

Counterfeit bill: At 6:41 a.m. in the 13800 block of NE 20th St., a suspect attempted to purchase food at a restaurant with a counterfeit bill. The employee recognized it was fake and the suspect left the area.

Domestic violence: At 3:43 p.m. in the 14700 block of SE 24th St., a victim was assaulted by her boyfriend. However, the suspect was gone once police arrived. Police forwarded the case to the prosecutor’s office for domestic violence assault charges in the second degree.

Dec. 12

DUI accident: At 12:48 a.m. in the 6300 block of 119th Ave. SE, an intoxicated male drove his vehicle off the roadway toward a retention pond. His vehicle was stopped by trees and the Bellevue Fire Department treated him for injuries he sustained in the crash. The suspect was then transported to the hospital.

Dec. 13

Valet oversight: At 8:38 a.m. in the 600 block of Bellevue Way NE, a subject was found sleeping in a vehicle in the valet area. The vehicle had been left unlocked and so the subject entered it and slept there for the night. The vehicle was not damaged and the suspect was trespassed from the property.

Joy ride: At 10:44 a.m. in the 400 block of 120th Ave. NE, an officer was sitting at an intersection when a vehicle ran a red light. Before he could catch up, the suspect was gone. A few minutes later, a call came in for a theft from a nearby store. The two suspects in the vehicle had stolen electronics.

Dec. 14

Death at park: At 2:19 p.m. in the 900 block of 168th Place SE, a victim was found deceased in Weowna Park. The investigations and command units were notified and the scene was locked down. Detectives are investigating the case, which is thought to likely be suicide.

Dec. 15

Involuntary committal: At 4:23 p.m. in the 1400 block of 185th Ave. NE, a subject was taken into protective custody at the request of King County Mental Health with a signed warrant. During the contact, the subject was uncooperative with officers and a minor amount of force was used to detain him. There were no injuries to the subject of officers, however, a use of force report was completed.

Domestic violence: At 8:10 p.m. in the 900 block of 112th Ave. NE, a woman became upset with her boyfriend because he didn’t want to take her out that night and she assaulted him. The woman was arrested and booked into jail on fourth-degree domestic violence assault.

Dec. 16

Interesting ride: At 3:41 a.m. in the 12600 block of SE 41st Place, a male victim called police to report a female suspect was driving her car with him on top of the hood. The victim said he got onto the hood himself in attempt to keep her from driving, but she drove around the parking lot. There were no injuries, however, the suspect was arrested for fourth-degree domestic violence assault and booked into jail.

Taxi passenger assaults driver with hammer: At 10:17 a.m. in the 1500 block of Bellevue Way NE, a taxi cab driver took a male and his mother to the male’s apartment in Bellevue. Upon arrival, the male started to assault the taxi driver and chase after him with a hammer he grabbed from his bag. The male suspect hit the victim multiple times with the hammer until witnesses intervened and stopped the suspect. Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Dec. 17

Don’t go there: At 5:20 p.m. in the 14700 block of NE 20th St., a suspect was so intoxicated he urinated on a restaurant floor. He had a current trespass notice on file and was arrested and booked into jail.
