The Bridle Trails neighborhood is getting a $350,000 upgrade.
This month, the city of Bellevue’s Neighborhood Enhancement Program will launch. The funds are to provide enhancements to the neighborhood.
The Neighborhood Enhancement Program is a $5 million, city-funded, capital improvements program that empowers residents to propose and select projects that improve their neighborhood’s quality of life and enhance its character. The program rotates through the city’s 14 Neighborhood Enhancement Program Neighborhood Areas, serving two areas each year, for a period of seven years (2015-2022).
Since 2015, the Neighborhood Enhancement Program has rotated through the Eastgate/Factoria, Cougar Mountain/Lakemont, West Lake Sammamish Neighborhood and Northeast Bellevue areas.
A kick-off meeting will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31 at Cherry Crest Elementary School, 12400 NE 32nd St for the launch of the Bridle Trail enhancements. City staff will provide attendees with a brief overview of the program guidelines and schedule, answer questions, and invite folks to share, discuss and submit project ideas.
Following the kick-off meeting, each household in Bridle Trails will receive a prepaid Neighborhood Enhancement Program Project Request Form in the mail. The city encourages all residents in the Bridle Trails area to use this form, or the online project request form on the Neighborhood Enhancement Program website, to submit as many project requests as they like by March 26.
