Molbak’s will present “The Emperor’s New Clothes” and launch a warm weather clothes drive to support local homeless teens.
The play, a rendition of Hans Christian Andersen’s story, will run three consecutive weekends in October, beginning Oct. 10, and run three times each Saturday and Sunday.
Molbak’s has presented a free fall play for the community for almost 30 years. This year, four professional actors will present the 35-minute show. Admission is free.
The clothes drive is seeking new or gently-used coats, mittens, socks, pj’s and other warm weather clothes. The items will benefit Friends of Youth. All clothing sizes are welcome.)
Show dates and times are: October 10-11, 17-18, 24-25 at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Seating is first come, first served, limited to 200 per performance. ASL interpreters will sign the 4 p.m. performance on Oct. 25.
