The ninth annual Le Vin Á Son Apogée (Wine At Its Best) wine tasting and auction will return to Bellevue on Nov. 16. The event, which benefits LifeSpring’s youth feeding program, will be held at the Hilton Bellevue.
Le Vin Á Son Apogée features more than 100 wines and the opportunity for guests to speak directly with sommeliers and winemakers. This year, Brian Carter of Brian Carter Cellars will be featured at the “Meet the Winemaker” pre-event VIP Party. Carter’s accomplishments include being the only three-time recipient of the Pacific Northwest Enological Society’s Grand Prize, being touted “Winemaker of the Year” twice by Washington Magazine and receiving the Grand Prize from the Pacific Northwest Enological Society for his 1986 Chardonnay. He most recently was chosen as the Honored Vintner at the 2007 Auction of Washington Wines.
The wine tasting is accompanied by an auction focused on wine and unique experiences. Proceeds benefit the Bellevue LifeSpring Breaktime/Mealtime program, which provides thousands of nutritious meals to Bellevue kids during school breaks.
Twenty-two percent of Bellevue public school students participate in the federal free and reduced-price lunch programs. In seven schools, more than one-third of the students are eligible for the program and at Lake Hills Elementary it’s 69 percent.
General admission tickets are $150 and VIP admission tickets are $250. More details and tickets are at www.BellevueLifeSpring.org or by calling 425-451-1175.
