A pedestrian was pinned beneath a truck for more than half an hour, after a collision on June 12 on Northeast 8th Street, according to Bellevue police.
At about 4:16 p.m., a truck trailing a boat and traveling westbound veered left to pull into a gas station lot. Oncoming traffic had a green light and the driver of the truck allegedly cut in front of another car.
The car slammed into the truck and trailer and the force of this impact shoved the truck into a pedestrian. The 27-year-old female was sitting at the bus stop at the corner of Northeast 8th Street and 120th Avenue Northeast by the gas station.
Emergency responders were able to free the woman from beneath the truck. She was transported to Overlake Medical Center for treatment. The female had leg injuries as a result of the collision.
The 33-year-old driver, a Bellevue resident, was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault. He was processed at the Bellevue Police Station and released with knowledge of court summons.
