Random assault: At 2:09 a.m. in the 11000 block of Northeast 8th Street, a subject was standing on the street corner when a random person turned and hit the victim in the face. The suspect then fled on foot toward the library. The suspect could not be found.

Damaged property: At 8 a.m. in the 14400 block of Northeast 35th street, two people got into an argument. Then, the suspect did hundreds of dollars’ worth of property damage to the other person’s belongings. The suspect was arrested.

June 25

Stolen car chase: At 2:52 a.m. at Southeast 8th Street and Lake Hills Connector, an officer spotted a stolen car on Interstate 45. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the car accelerated away. The officer later saw smoke and drove toward it. The car had failed to make the curve into the Wilburton neighborhood and crashed into a wooded area. The driver was injured and transported for medical care. A passenger, who had a warrant, was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Please stop: At 2:57 a.m. in the 10400 block of Northeast 29th Street, a suspect flattened multiple tires while driving. She was also heard screaming. Officers determined the driver was intoxicated.

June 27

Spotted: At 2 a.m. in the 9800 block of 20th Street, someone called police after they saw a suspect steal a package from his porch. He watched on his security camera.

June 28

Dumpter diving: At 9:50 p.m. in the 300 block of Bellevue Way Northeast, a suspect stole items from a store and ran away on foot. He was found a short distance away but then ran again. A security officer saw the suspect jump into a dumpster. He was found.

June 29

Robbery: At 6:57 p.m. in the 300 block of Bellevue Way Northeast, a suspect entered the store, stole merchandise, then fled on foot. Loss prevention tried to stop the suspect in the parking lot — but the suspect pulled out a weapon and threatened the employee. An officer showed up at the parking lot, and the suspect threw the weapon under a car. The weapon was found and the suspect arrested.
