Virginia Estaire “Ginny” Howe, age 82, passed from this world and went to Heaven on June 21, 2019, in Burlington, Wa, of heart failure. She was a much beloved stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Ginny was born October 12, 1936 in Los Angeles, Calif, to parents John Fredrick Annala and Dagmar Pearl Hannu. She graduated from Montebello HS in 1954, and then worked for a telephone company as a secretary/operator.
Ginny met the love of her life, Henry Howe, at church in Whittier, Calif. and they married in 1958. They soon moved to Bellevue, Wa, where she worked as school secretary at Bellevue Jr. High. She worked for many years becoming executive secretary to the Principal. Ginny and Hank had a wonderful 57 years together until his passing in 2015. With the marriage, she also became stepmom “mom” to 3 young children, Danny, Stevie and Connie, who grew to love her very much. She was a sweet and gentle woman with a strong faith in God, a positive attitude and generous spirit.
She and Hank lived on east Lake Sammamish, Redmond, for many years, and later retired to a waterfront home in Hansville, Wa. They moved to Mount Vernon, Wa in 2013. Ginny enjoyed sewing projects, wcard making, silk floral designs, decorating for holidays, cooking and entertaining. The annual 4th of July parties were amazing! In her younger years, she enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, fishing, crabbing, and boating. She and Hank had fun travels to Europe, across the US and to California and Maui, Hawaii. Wherever they went, they made friends.
