The Bellevue Wolverines suffered a rare home defeat, 27-10, at the hands of the Central Valley Bears on Sept. 7. The lone touchdown for Bellevue came on an 18-yard touchdown pass from running back Alex Reid to Joashua Goates. The Central Valley defense was able to slow down Bellevue’s running game, and their quarterback, Matt Gabbert, threw for four touchdowns. The Wolverines will look to bounce back in their next game against Newport (0-1) at 7 p.m. Sept. 13 on the road.
