A two-week construction project to put a northbound bike lane along 112th Avenue Northeast through the Northeast Eighth Street intersection is slated to begin Monday, causing intermittent closures of the northbound curb lane and east sidewalk of 112th.

The new bike lane will connect to a multipurpose path south of Eight Street and merge into the traffic lane north of Eighth. Initial sidewalk work will occur 7 a.m to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for the next two weeks, with asphalt and striping to follow when weather allows. The city advises drivers take alternate routes to avoid potential delays.
