Matt Marrese and Grant Cole finished in a tie for second at the KingCo Medalist golf tournament, as Interlake won the team scoring title again.

Juanita senior Frank Garber ran away with the individual title at the 2A/3A KingCo Medalist Tournament at Snohomish Golf Course Monday, shooting 65 to finish eight strokes in front of second place finisher Matt Marrese of Sammamish.

Interlake won the team scoring championship by 12 strokes in front of Mercer Island and Bellevue, led by four scores of 76 or lower.

Junior Grant Cole shot 73 to match Marrese while senior Andy Liu finished at 74 and Collin Joy and Sam Fisher each fired 76. Kyle Douglas shot 83 and Ben Singleton 86 to round out the field for the Saints, which will send four golfers to the district tournament next week back at Snohomish.

Bellevue senior Radleigh Ang shot 74 and will head to districts, along with Trevor Lohman and Chandler Hawk.

Marrese will compete for the Totems for a state spot in 2A.
