New art show comes to Bellevue

On July 24 through July 26, Gallery by the Bay presents a new art show called “Art on the Town” that will benefit the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society.

On July 24 through July 26, Gallery by the Bay presents a new art show called “Art on the Town” that will benefit the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society.

The event will take place at the Bellevue Downtown Courtyard by Marriott and will feature 25 artists from the Puget Sound area. A wide range of artwork, from paintings and glass to stone sculpture, photography and jewelry, will be included.

“It’s great working with local artists,” commented Gallery by the Bay owner Gayle Picken who is organizing the show. “Most artists appreciate and support the efforts to preserve and protect natural lands. Art and gardens seem to go well together,” Picken explained.

Art on the Town opens to the public on, July 24 – 26, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. A Meet the Artists reception will take place on Friday, July 24, from 6 p.m. to 9p.m.
