King County prosecutors have filed burglary and vandalism charges against an individual involved with a Bellevue demonstration last year.

The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed a charge of second-degree burglary against La’Annishane Larin Miller for allegedly breaking the glass doors of both APM Monaco and the Omega Store during a May 31st demonstration at the Shops at Bravern.

According to a police report, officers claim there were over 200 people around the retail area yelling obscenities and throwing objects at officers before they noticed the glass doors of both shops had been broken.

The officers spotted two females inside one of the vandalized stores, one of which was Miller. After Miller fled from the officers she was detained and arrested.

According to the report, Miller’s hand was bleeding at the time of her arrest and she claimed she “was only in there to get her friends out,”.

Security camera footage from the stores later revealed that Miller appeared to have taken merchandise from APM Monaco after a group of people broke down the glass doors and cases in the store.

KCPAO said this is the 30th individual they have charged with crimes related to last year’s protests.
