Alex Wood picked up a goal and an assist as Mercer Island knocked off Bellevue 3-0 in KingCo 3A/2A soccer action.

Wood kicked off the scoring with a goal at the 19 minute mark. Two minutes later he set up teammate Matt Johnson to put Mercer Island up 2-0. Nick Ward put another goal through at the 87 minute mark to finish up the scoring for the Islanders (1-1-1). James Suh picked up the shutout for Mercer Island.

Bellevue dropped to 1-1-2 with the loss.
