Todd goes over 400 on the ground to push Saints to quarters | Prep football

Interlake running back Jordan Todd continued his outstanding season, rushing for 432 yards to put the Saints into the 2A state quarterfinals for the second straight year.

Despite battling a sickness throughout the week, Interlake running back Jordan Todd went for 432 yards on 30 carries and scored five touchdowns to push his team to a 49-41 win over Franklin Pierce in the first round of the 2A state football tournament.

“To do it when we needed it most said a lot about him as a competitor and person,” Interlake coach Jason Rimkus said. “He’s been banged up, everyone keys on him, he’s sick as a dog and puts up over 400.”

The Saints will host the winner of tomorrow’s game between top-ranked Lynden and North Thurston in next week’s quarterfinal round.
