The Plaids returning to Bellevue

Forever Plaid is coming back to Bellevue and kicking off Bellevue Civic Theatre’s 10th Anniversary Season, October 9-17 at the Theatre at Meydenbauer Center.

Previously performed at Bellevue Civic Theatre (BCT) as part of the 2004-2005 season, this quirky revue tells the story of four young, eager male singers killed in the 1950s on the way to their first big gig. Miraculously, they are revived (tuxes included) so they may posthumously perform the show that never was.

Nostalgia lives as the “Plaids” sing such favorites as “Three Coins In A Fountain,” “Catch A Falling Star” and “Love Is A Many Splendored Thing.”

Forever Plaid is directed by Gregory Magyar and stars Nathaniel Jones, Sean Maurer, John Olson III and Casey Raiha as the “Plaids.” Music direction is by Jim Fisher with choreography by Carissa Meisner Smit.

Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m., Thursday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Single show tickets are $30 for adults. Senior and student pricing is available, call box office for details. For tickets or more information, call the Bellevue Civic box office at 425-235-5087.

The Theatre at Meydenbauer Center is located at 11100 NE 6th St..

The rest of the BCT theater season will include Neil Simon’s Rumors, along with the hilarious The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge and a new adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Two Gentlemen of Verona.
