Skyline High School Athletic Director Ryan Gilbert has taken up the post of ministries director at SAMBICA, the 94 year old youth summer camp located on the southern tip of Lake Sammamish in Bellevue.

“I believe the Lord has worked in my life through out, but in taking the job at SAMBICA it’s more direct and that is amazing,” Gilbert said.

A native of Washington, Ryan graduated from Issaquah high school in 1998. After college he returned to Washington to pursue a Masters in teaching from UW.

Ryan, along with his wife Cheryl and two kids, Eli (7) and Abby (4) said they are thrilled about their new adventure at SAMBICA.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to do this as a family. It’s a chance to be ‘on mission’ together.”
