The Bellevue Wolverines improved their overall record to 12-0 with a 85-27 victory against the Liberty Patriots on Jan. 8. Bellevue will face the Juanita Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 in Kirkland.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Bellevue defeats Liberty in nail-biter

The Bellevue Wolverines defeated the Liberty Patriots 58-56 on Jan. 8. It was the fourth consecutive victory for the Wolverines.

Bellevue (10-1) will face the Juanita Rebels at 8 p.m. on Jan. 15 at Juanita High School in Kirkland.

Issaquah earns win against Newport

The Issaquah Eagles captured a 56-48 win against the Newport Knights on Jan. 9.

The Knights (6-7) will face the Bothell Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 in Bothell.

Saints still searching for the win column

Shorewood turned in a dominating 65-45 victory against the Interlake Saints on Jan. 9. The Saints (0-13) will face the Sammamish Totems at 7:15 p.m. on Jan. 12 at Sammamish High School in Bellevue.

SQUASH

Men’s World Squash Championship benefit auction on the horizon

YSK Events is hosting a Men’s World Squash Championship benefit auction/dinner at 6 p.m. on Jan. 30 at the PRO Sports Club in Bellevue. The cost is $150 per plate. There will be live and silent auctions during the festivities. Some of the live auction items consist of an autographed squash ball, autographed game balls, a Black Knights Squash racket signed by world champion players including Jahangir Khan, Geoff Hunt and Ramy Ashour. Top ranked PSA players will be in attendance for the dinner and auction.

Gregory Gaultier of France captured the 2015 Professional Squash Association World Championship, courtesy of a 3-0 (11-6, 11-7, 12-10) victory against Egypt’s Omar Mosaad in the title match on Nov. 22 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.
