Registration will open April 1 for the Seattle Humane Society’s Animal Adventures Day Camp. The week-long camps are designed for children ages 8 to 11 to nurture a sense of compassion and respect for animals and all living beings.
There are three week-long camp sessions in July. Each session is limited to 24 campers. The cost per camper is $170.
Go to http://www.seattlehumane.org/explore/education/kids for a full schedule and the registration form. Registration forms can be faxed to 425.747.2985, called in to 425.649.7553, mailed in or dropped off at the shelter in Bellevue.
Each day of the camp week, children will meet different critters, learn about all types of pets, and work with shelter animals to understand the importance of compassion for our animal friends.
Last year, Animal Adventures Day Camp sold out quickly.
The camps take place at the Seattle Humane Society in Bellevue at 13212 SE Eastgate Way.
