The Bellevue School District board approved several appointments to positions of principal and assistant principal during a meeting April 15.
The following positions were approved for the 2008-2009 school year:
West attendance area
Bellevue High School: Andrea Pfeifer, assistant principal. She is currently an assistant principal at Sammamish High School.
Chinook Middle School: Joseph Kempisty, assistant principal. He is currently the assistant principal at Tyee Middle School.
Clyde Hill Elementary: Jen Benson, assistant principal. She is currently assistant principal at Somerset Elementary.
North attendance area
Interlake High School: Jose Rodriguez, assistant principal. He is currently assistant principal at Sammamish High School.
Highland Middle School: Anissa Bereano, principal. She is currently the principal of Eastgate Elementary; Eric McDowell, assistant principal. He is completing his Danforth administrative internship at Bellevue High School and serves as the K-12 math curriculum developer.
Stevenson Elementary: Christy Lindquist, principal. She is currently the assistant principal at Stevenson.
East attendance area
Sammamish High School: Maria Frieboes, Ede Patterson, assistant principals. Frieboes is currently the assistant principal at Tillicum Middle School; Patterson is currently an assistant principal at Interlake High School.
Tillicum Middle School: Diane Tuttle, assistant principal. She is currently the assistant principal at Highland Middle School.
Lake Hills Elementary: Johnnie Gregory, principal. Gregory is currently the principal at Clyde Hill Elementary.
Spiritridge Elementary School: Laura Bang-Knudsen, principal. She was the principal at Sammamish High School.
South attendance area
Newport High School: Bethany Spinler, principal. Spinler is currently the acting principal at Newport. Dan Irvine, Aaron Miller, assistant principals. Irvine is currently an assistant principal at Bellevue High School; Miller is completing his Danforth administrative internship and serving as dean of students at Newport.
Tyee Middle School: Judy Buckmaster, principal. She is currently the principal at Lake Hills Elementary. James Peterson, assistant principal. He is currently an assistant principal at Newport High School.
Eastgate Elementary School: Brenda Naish, principal. She is currently the principal at Stevenson Elementary.
