Creating a business concept that is economy proof is every entrepreneur’s dream.
Enter the Honey Do company, a new Eastside- and Seattle-based business that offers the convenience of a personal assistant without the high cost of a full-time employee. It is like having a personal assistant on speed dial to cover that last-minute shopping trip or upcoming dinner party squeezed into an already hectic schedule.
With the official launch of Honey Do, founders Anne Brucker, Amber Eckert and Jenna Davis are confident in their all-in-one business model. The three share a passion for the creative side of the business and bring years of experience in the real estate, mortgage, and fashion retail industries.
“We wanted to start a business where we felt there was a need. I personally know of a lot of friends who, because of the economy, had to let their personal assistants go,” Davis explained. “We wanted to start a company that didn’t have a lot of overhead to launch, but that would fair well despite the current economy.”
Honey Do offers a variety of services including daily errands, gift buying, event planning, business services, travel arrangements and wedding assistance.
Services are available on an hourly rate with a two-hour minimum charge. Monthly memberships are also available for purchase and gift certificates for the holidays have already become a hot-ticket item, according to Eckert.
Honey Do launched Nov. 2 and caters to clients in on the Eastside and in Seattle. A recent client called up Honey Do with an event planning request for a birthday party the client will be hosting in January, following the holidays.
“The client will be away on vacation during the month of December so they contacted Honey Do to oversee the planning of the birthday party so it’s ready to go when they return home,” Brucker explained. “We are all about providing services that save time and create a level of convenience for our clients.”
