Bellevue BPW will honor Sonya Green as Woman of the Year for her contributions in empowering women personally, professionally, and politically. Greeb is news and public affairs director at KBCS 91.3 FM.

The event will be from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Harbor Club, 777 108th Ave. NE.

A silent auction also will be held to raise scholarship funds for women seeking to further their education to advance their careers or re-enter the workforce. Those who wish to donate should do so by Oct. 7.

Cost is $25 for members, $30 for guests if reregistered by Oct. 14, otherwise $5 more at the door.
