Bellevue Philharmonic names interim director

Bellevue Philharmonic names Daniel Mayer as its interim executive director after former head Jennifer McCausland resigned with notice in February.

The Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) has selected Daniel Mayer to serve as interim executive director after its former senior manager, Jennifer McCausland, resigned with notice in February.

Mayer served as interim director of the BPO during previous transition periods. He is managing director of the Kirkland Performing Arts Center, and will continue to work in that capacity during his time with the BPO.

“Dan offers professional management for the BPO at a critical juncture,” said BPO board of directors President Dale Miller. “We look forward to his capable leadership to continue to stabilize and establish continuity in the orchestra’s operations as the BPO launches our 2009/2010 concert season and several upcoming summer events.”

The philharmonic plans to launch a nationwide search for a new Executive Director in late summer.
