Lauren Elizabeth Melin and Michael Thomas Moone were married on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at First Presbyterian church in Bellevue.
The pastor presiding was the Rev. Dr. Bruce Baker. The maid of honor was the brides’ sister, Natalie Melin. The best man was the grooms’ brother, Matthew Moone.
Melin is the daughter of Robin Scheumann Baker of Mercer Island and David Wright Melin of Bellevue. Her grandparents are Dick and Gretchen Scheumann, long-time Seattle residents. The grooms parents are Mike Moone and Jan Soderstrom of Menlo Park, Calif.
The bride works at Harris myCFO in Menlo Park and the groom works at Sun Power in Point Richmond, Calif. The couple met years ago in college where Melin was attending Claremont McKenna College and Moone, Pomona College.
The couple’s formal evening wedding came in the midst of three days of celebrations. The flowers were all white; roses, lilies, gardenias and orchids. There were eight bridesmaids and eight groomsmen. A reception was held at the Columbia Tower Club in Seattle.
The couple is making their home in San Francisco. They are taking a tropical honeymoon at a location which was a surprise to the bride.
