David Wink scored only nine points Friday, but two of those made the biggest difference for Sammamish.

Wink, a 6-foot-10 senior, scored with five seconds left in the game to give the Totems a 42-40 victory over rival Interlake.

The win evened the Totems conference record to 2-2 and their overall record to 5-6.

Sammamish was led by Toby Wellman with 11 points. Anthony Do and Daniel Wruble each scored 10 points in the win.

Interlake (5-4, 0-3 KingCo 3A/2A) was led by senior Aaron Sweat in the loss with 15 points. Zac Johnston added 10 points for the Saints.

Bellevue Christian 49, University Prep 37

Senior Aaron Iseman scored 22 points and junior guard David Downs added 14 as Bellevue Christian held off University Prep 49-37.

The Vikings (6-4, 4-0 Emerald City League) trailed 9-8 after the first quarter but went on a 23-10 run in the third quarter that proved to be the difference in the win. Both teams scored 18 points in the second half.

University Prep (6-3, 2-2) was led by D’Vonzo Sanders with 13 points. Justin Graham scored 10 points for the Pumas in the loss.

Bellevue 55, Mercer Island 30

Bellevue used 29 points from Aaron Bright and Colton Christian to break a three-game losing streak to Mercer Island, as the Wolverines trounced the Islanders 55-30 in Bellevue.

Bellevue (10-1, 4-0 KingCo 3A/2A) jumped out to a 15-4 lead in the game and never looked back.

The Islanders (6-5, 2-1) were led by Peter Zajac, who scored 12 points in the loss.

Issaquah 73, Newport 66

Newport had three players in double figures, but an Issaquah trio was just a bit better as the Eagles slipped past the Knights 73-66 in Bellevue.

Robby Primrose, Joe Evans and Ross Zuhl combined to score 54 points for the Eagles (3-5, 2-2 KingCo 4A), edging the 43 points put up by Newport’s Richard Woodworth, Connor Witt and Zach Nicklos.

It was the second-straight conference loss for Newport (3-6, 2-3).
