According to city statistics, one in three Bellevue residents was born outside of the United States. Limited English skills, cultural differences and lack of knowledge about the American employment system, along with the recession, can complicate the job search.

Workshop topics will include identifying resources to find employment opportunities, goal-setting, making a positive first impression and preparing for a job interview.

To register for the Career Job Club, email amanda@prepareforworknow.com or attend the first workshop on Nov. 9.

This program is cosponsored by Bellevue’s Cultural Diversity Program. For more information, contact Kevin Henry at khenry@bellevuewa.gov.
