The family of Martha Alger Jasper, a longtime Bellevue resident who died Dec. 29, 2007, have established the Martha Alger Jasper Memorial Fund. All gifts to Northwest Kidney Center in her memory will be used to provide a scholarship to a Lake Washington Kidney Center staff member pursuing a nursing degree.

Mrs. Jasper worked for many years as a registered nurse. She received dialysis treatment at Northwest Kidney Centers (NKC) Lake Washington Kidney Center in Bellevue. Although she spent a great deal of time at Lake Washington initially because of her health, the dialysis unit became a place where she could connect with others like her and gain memories and friendships along the way.
