Charlene Oberbillig, formerly of Bellevue, died Aug. 15, 2008 on Vashon Island, Wash. She was 89.

Mrs. Oberbillig was born on Sept. 14, 1918 in Yakima to Fred and Camilla Ruth Robinson. She grew up in Aberdeen and then moved to Puyallup where she attended Fife High School.

In 1950 she met Joe Oberbillig. The family moved to Bellevue and lived for many years in Newport Hills. Mrs. Oberbillig worked at Bellevue Community College

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Fred and Jim; sister, Rose Mary; and her husband. She is survived by her four children, Kate, Joe, (Debbie) Dave (Deborah) and Doug, and four grandchildren.

A remembrance celebration will be announced at a later date.
