Chad Shapard put in a pair of goals and added two assists and Rigel Kuhn scored the final two for the Saints in the 6-2 win. Sunjay Bhatia and Nick Roth also added one goal each for coach Dan Peterson’s squad.

Tommy Danielsen broke the scoring in the 20th minute and chipped in with an assist 10 minutes later to give the Totems a lead they would not surrender in the 3-1 win.
Beau Blanchard and Riley Brooks scored the other Sammamish goals while Javier Macias netted the only score of the game for the Rebels on an unassisted strike.
Newport 1 Skyline 0
Sean Tan scored the only goal of the night on an assist from Beni Leremie for Newport in the final minute of the contest to give his team the 1-0 win in the KingCo opener.
“We came out, played hard, kept our composure and were able to prevail in the last seconds,” Newport coach Kirk Tavener said. “I’m extremely proud of the hard work the team has put in this season.”

Newport 4 Issaquah 3
The Knights overcame an early two-run deficit to win the KingCo opener for both teams behind five innings of work on the mound from Billy Sahlinger and a pair of RBI from Nate Anderson.
Ethan Kalin knocked in a pair of runs for the Eagles, which saw Newport plate a pair of runs in the top half of the seventh and then hang on for the win as Nate Anderson picked up his first save of the year.
Trevor Creek worked one inning to get the win and Justin Vernia, who replaced starter Brandon Mahovlich in the fifth, took the loss for Issaquah.
Granite Falls 1 Interlake 2
Sam Finfer doubled and scored a run and Nate Wehner went four innings and struck out a pair to help the Saints to the win.
Overlake 7 Sammamish 3
The Totems led by three early in the game but surrendered six runs in the fourth in the loss to Overlake.

Bellevue 12 Sammamish 1
Anjani Briggs and Taylor Cooke both had three hits and pitcher Emily Fleischman allowed only one run on three hits to the Totems.
