Judith Powers, of Bellevue, died on May 26, 2008 in Bellevue. She was 86.
Mrs. Powers was born on September 23, 1921 in Long Island, N.Y., to Bernard and Marie Kremelburg. During her working career, she was involved in book publishing and flying with Eastern Airlines. It was in flying she met her first husband, Jim Bishop, a pilot, with whom she had four children.
Survivors include her four children, Carol Callaway, Linda Hendon, Jim Bishop Jr. and Judy Bishop; Sandi Miller, her “fifth” child, three grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous step children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three husbands, Bishop, Richard Roselle and Chuck Powers.
A service was held Thursday, May 29, 2008. Remembrances may be sent to Briana’s Missions Fund, 22100 Pot’O’Gold Court, Smithsburg, Md. 21783.
