Bellevue will meet Mercer Island in the state title game Saturday.

Bellevue will defend the boys Division I lacrosse state title.

The 2012 champion Wolverines beat Eastside Catholic 12-6 in a semi-final game Wednesday to punch their ticket to the title game behind four goals from Cole Johnson.

The Crusaders led early in the second quarter before Bellevue regained control and took the lead for good at 3-2 before the half.

Mercer Island, which survived a 7-6 overtime game with Bainbridge in the other semi-final, will be waiting at Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 6 p.m. with bragging rights and a state championship trophy on the line.
