Tracy Rector (Seminole), executive director of Longhouse Media and its Native Lens youth film project, will be the featured speaker at Bellevue College’s Seventh Annual American Indian Film Festival, scheduled for Nov. 5, 6 and 7 on the college’s main campus.

All festival events are free and open to the public.

Rector’s address is tentatively scheduled for late afternoon Friday, Nov. 6, in Carlson Theatre on Bellevue College’s main campus, where most festival events will be held.

In addition to other screenings yet to be announced, the festival will feature works by the late Phil Lucas (Choctaw) – the former Bellevue College instructor and Emmy-winning film producer who founded the Festival in 2003 – as well as Steffany Suttle, Honey Dawn Karima Pettigrew, Tracey Deer and Native Lens filmmakers.

Native Lens is a Longhouse Media youth activity conducted in partnership with the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community of Fidalgo Island.
