In 2006 King County Publications sold its newspapers in Bellevue, Mercer Island, Redmond, Renton, Kent, Auburn, and the Snoqualmie Valley to Sound Publishing. Sound triples its footprint in the Puget Sound region to become the largest publisher of community newspapers in Washington state.
Founded in 1987, Sound Publishing, Inc. remains committed to community, with news outlets in Washington and Alaska. Our parent company, Black Press, and Sound Publishing believe that independent, fact-based reporting and holding those in power accountable are essential to healthy communities and a healthy democracy.
Bellevue is the fifth largest city in the state of Washington and lies to the east of Seattle across Lake Washington. The city was recently named by Fortune Small Business as the best place in the country to live and launch a business. If it happens in Bellevue, the Bellevue Reporter is there to report on it.
