Katie Chinn of Bellevue knows that a little pampering can go a long way. Together with two other business partners, Chinn launched Toetally Polished this past June, as a way of reaching out to those women are in need of a dose of self-indulgence.
The ladies of Toetally Polished recently paid a visit to a pregnant woman on bed rest at Overlake Hospital. The woman’s friend had called up Toetally Polished to book a surprise pedicure appointment. Equipped with portable foot bath bowls and chemical-free nail polish, the Toetally Polished crew gave the woman a pedicure and left her with a smile.
“The entire experience was really nice and I think it really lifted her spirits,” Chinn said. “It’s the little things in life that make all the difference.”
Toetally Polished serves clients on the Eastside and in Seattle. The business focuses its attention to women who are unable to drive to a nearby nail shop such as those living in a retirement home or patients who are bound to a hospital room.
“We are very flexible,” Chinn said. “If the client is unable to sit up to soak their feet we will wrap them in hot towels or if they don’t want the polish, we will concentrate more on massage and pampering,” she explained.
Chinn pointed out the businesses emphasis on sterilization and cleanliness with all the equipment they use. For Chinn, its all about offering a high-quality product combined with excellent service and convenience.
Beyond hospital visits, Toetally Polished services are also available for private parties.
“Have you ever gone to get a pedicure and then gone outside in the rainy weather? It’s silly to pay that much just to ruin the pedicure a few minutes later,” Chinn said. “With us coming to you, this way, you can stay at your place and you can have your food and wine and just relax – stress free.”
Prices range from $25 for a Refresh Manicure to $75 for a Relax Pedicure which includes a botanical soak, exfoliating scrub and ultra-hydrating mask with Shea Butter.
“All women have a lot of stress on their shoulders, whether its from work, raising a family or just daily life. We want to do our part to help ease the stress away,” Chinn explained.
