Firstline, a longtime Bellevue based telecommunications company, has acquired Northwest Business Telecommunications (NBT).

Talks to initiate the “friendly” acquisition were triggered by the merger of global telco giants, Mitel and Inter-Tel.

Mitel and Inter-Tel’s suite of products, technologies and markets complemented each other. As a result of that merger, Firstline, a Mitel dealer, and NBT, an Inter-Tel dealer we’re providing near similar products and services. The transition brought Firstline and NBT in closer communication and eventually led to discussions surrounding the acquisition.
