Topaz Bridge is on a role this year.
The Bellevue-based software company, featured in the Feb. 18 Bellevue Reporter, recently secured an investment of over $2 million from an undisclosed company that plans to raise a total of $5 million to $10 million for additional funding.
That bit of good news follows a $1.5 million angel investment in December and a multimillion deal with Merck in January that allows the pharmaceutical giant to distribute Topaz Bridge’s new S2 self-service software application to all of its employees across 84 countries.
S2 helps connect the Microsoft SharePoint application with SAP business software to give workers direct access to their human-resources information.
Topaz hired 20 new employees after signing the deal with Merck, and plans bring in approximately 40 more during the coming months.
