Biondo Pizza & Gelato has opened in Belgate Plaza, next to the Bellevue Post Office. The company’s focus is on hand-crafted pizza and offers takeout/free delivery.

“Biondo cares about serving healthy choices for everyone and their families,” said founder Kelvin Scribner.  “Our pizza, salads, and gelato offer a delicious high-quality delivery-alternative that our customers can feel good about.”

Biondo’s thin crust pizza is most closely considered thin Sicilian style.  The dough is hand-mixed and hand-rolled.  Scribner said said the pizza is served in rectangular pies, giving customers more pizza in the box than with an average round one.  The sauce is made in the store and is noticeably sweet. Smoked provolone cheese tops off the Biondo Basic pizza that serves as the foundation of much of the menu.
