Chamber names Eastside Business Award winners

Outstanding businesses on the Eastside that uphold a strong commitment to quality, community and innovation were recognized at the 21st Annual Bellevue Chamber of Commerce Eastside Business Awards luncheon on May 12 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.

Outstanding businesses on the Eastside that uphold a strong commitment to quality, community and innovation were recognized at the 21st Annual Bellevue Chamber of Commerce Eastside Business Awards luncheon on May 12 at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue.

“Bellevue and the entire Eastside is a very entrepreneurial marketplace. Not only are we home to many startup companies, an impressive list of established corporations and small businesses are located here,” said Betty Nokes, President and CEO, Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. “We have seen a great deal of creativity as companies have tailored their business plans to meet market needs. This year’s winners and finalists demonstrate a synergy of business savvy and innovation that makes our community vibrant.”

Ten finalists were chosen and five winners were honored with awards as follows:

Eastside Business of the Year – Foushée and Associates, Inc. (Bellevue)

Finalists: Intelius, Inc. (Bellevue) and Motricity, Inc. (Bellevue)

Foushée was recognized for its superior performance, history of revenue growth exceeding $10 million, strength of leadership team, ability to seize new market opportunities, adaptability to challenging economic conditions, and their development of unique partnerships with the community.

Eastside Small Business – Pharmacy OneSource (Bellevue)

Finalists: Avidian Technologies (Redmond) and Guidant Financial Group (Bellevue)

Pharmacy OneSource was recognized for its superior performance, history of revenue growth, a growing staffing plan, adaptability to challenging economic conditions, and ability to seize new market opportunities, new approaches and new technologies.

Eastside Emerging Business – Motricity, (Bellevue)

Finalists: Lakeside Center for Autism (Issaquah) and Root Wireless, Inc. (Bellevue)

Motricity was recognized for achieving a presence in the Eastside business community and demonstrating consistent and significant growth.

Eastside Non-Profit/Community Impact – Overlake Hospital Medical Center (Bellevue)

Finalists: Emerald Heights Retirement Community (Redmond)

Overlake Hospital Medical Center was recognized for its commitment to making the Eastside a better place to live through the development and operation of programs that benefit the community.

Stayin’ Alive Video Contest winner – Quick Medical (Issaquah)

Quick Medical entered a promotional video highlighting how they’re Stayin’ Alive in a tough economy.

Any business located on the Eastside was eligible to compete for an award. Companies submitted applications based on category guidelines that were judged by an independent panel of regional business leaders.
