The Bellingham-based contractor, Exxel Pacific was recently awarded with the 2022 Grand Award for Safety Excellence by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Washington.

With a second office space in Bellevue, Exxel Pacific focuses on commercial, mixed-use and residential construction projects across the Pacific Northwest.

“Exxel Pacific winning the Grand Award for Safety is a wonderful testament to their dedication, year after year, to protecting workers and being good stewards of the construction industry and our communities,” said Mandi Kime, Director of Safety for AGC of Washington.

The Grand Award for Safety is based on the last three years of Exxel Pacific’s health and safety statistics. The general contractor has received an AGC of Washington Safety Excellence Award every year since 2014. Additionally, Exxel Pacific has earned the Grand Award for Safety not only this year, but also in 2020, 2018 and 2015.

“Exxel Pacific partners with a third-party auditor to review projects on a quarterly basis,” said Brian Sorensen. “The audit is a deep dive into the job-site safety paperwork and also involved a site inspection. The site visits are unannounced to ensure projects are reviewed in an active process.”
